Isnt it time to expand our imagination ?

Wrong it is not, to tell a story of a girl and boy
Wrong it is, to alienise love of any other kind.

Teach your kids that people identify with pronouns of ” he ” ” she ” either
But some with neither.
Teach them not to frown at the fluidity of pronoun.
Teach them fluidity in sex and gender.

Naturalise ( the community )
Read Harry Potter to your kids like its true,
But dont forget to tell them that Dumbledore was gay too.
Tell them he was kind whatever his sexual orientation
And how you shouldn’t ever be cruel to any God’s creation.

Strengthen ( the community )
Give the people the opportunity to make up for years they lost being someone they weren’t,
Amongst the many voices let yours also help carry this ship to their paradise against the turbulent current.

Acknowledge. Naturalise. Strengthen.

They have dressed as per your ” normal ” for too long
They have carried the burden of your prejudiced reality for too long
They have given up their colours to live in your society of black and white for too long
It is time for them to walk their stride with pride.

It is time to expand our imagination.
It is time to discover the stories behind the people we know.
